USING MOTHER TONGUES IN THE LEARNING

This book demonstrates the positive impact of mother tongues in teaching English as a foreign language. Using mixed methods research with Congolese university students, it compares monolingual and multilingual teaching approaches. Grounded in translanguaging and multilingual theories, the study reveals how integrating learners' native languages significantly improves comprehension and retention in EFL classrooms.
